The Frank E. Rader Southeast Regional wrestling tournament took place this past weekend and as always attracted some of the best wrestlers from not only the southeast region of the United States but wrestlers from all over came to take part in this event. 17 states were represented in this event, even states as far away as Minnesota, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. This was the last Fargo qualifier with the top 6 wrestlers qualifying. Since this is a Georgia Wrestling site we will only be discussing and recapping our home grown Ga wrestlers who finished in the top 4 in their weight classes.

8U Boys Recap:
8U boys FS 49-53 lb weight class: This weight class was a 4 man round robin with 2 Ga wrestlers in it.
Jameson Green finished the day in 2nd place going 2-1 on the day. He techfalled his GA counterpart in this weight class, lost to the eventual champion, and then pinned his final match of the day.
Maddox Milot had a tough day at SE Regionals finishing his day in 4th place. Getting teched in each of his matches.
8U boys FS 56 lb weight class: This bracket was a 8 man double elimination bracket with 2 Ga wrestlers competing.
Jonah Ard finished his day in 2nd place as he teched his quarter finals opponent, won his semis in a much more contested, 20-14 match, and then eventually fell in the finals to a boy from Tennessee.
Daniel Yun, lost in the first round to the eventual champion, but battled back through the consolation bracket to take 3rd place overall. He finished his day with a 3-1 record.
8U boys FS 62 lb weight class: This bracket was a 8 man double elimination bracket with 2 Ga wrestlers competing.
Reid Aultman finished his day in 4th place overall for this weight class. Falling to the eventual champion in the quarter finals, Aultman was able to win 2 straight matches in order to work his way in the consolation finals against Haney from Tennessee.
10U Boys Recap
10U boys FS 49 lb weight class: This weight class was a 2 man best of 3 series bracket with 2 Ga wrestlers competing.
Wesley Stott finished both matches by tech fall going 2-0 on the day against Avery Newton.
10U boys FS 56 lb weight class: This weight class was a 4 man round robin bracket.
Cooper Brown finished the day with a gold medal going 3-0 on the day with 3 straight pins. He was absolutely dominant on his way to a gold medal.
Soloman Stephens finished his day in 2nd place behind Brown finishing with a 2-1 record with 2 tech falls.
10U boys FS 59 lb weight class: This weight class was an 8 man double elimination bracket with 3 Ga wrestlers in it.
Adam Rassmussen finished the day in 2nd place and a 1-1 record for the tournament. After a bye in the quarters, he teched a boy from FL 10-0. Going into the finals he got teched by Morris, the number 3 seed from AL.
Cruz Knox finished the day in 4th place going 1-2 on the day. After falling in the quarter finals to Miller from SC, he went on to tech Vega from FL in the conso semis, only to lose to Miller again in the conso finals.
10U boys FS 63 lb weight class: This weight class was an 8 man double elimination bracket with 3 Ga wrestlers in it.
Talmadge Dawkins was the number 1 seed for good reason. He finished with the gold medal and walked through everyone except for his finals opponent. Cruising past his quarter finals and semi finals opponents, he won a close match with fellow ga wrestler Ferguson in the finals 10-7.
William Ferguson was the number 2 seed going 2-1 on the day which was good enough for 2nd place. Ferguson went 2-0 in the quarters and semis tech falling each of his opponents 10-0. He came up just short in the finals against Dawkins.
10U boys FS 67 lb weight class: This weight class was a 5 man round robin bracket with 3 Ga wrestlers.
Carter Knox finished his day 3-1 with 1 bye. He had 1 pin and 2 techs on his way to a second place finish. His only loss coming to eventual champion Finnell from TN.
Logan Shirley finished with a 1-3 record with 1 pin. Which was good enough for 4th place.
10U boys FS 71 lb weight class: This weight class was a 4 man round robin bracket with 1 Ga wrestler competing.
Lucas Koran finished the day in 4th place with an 0-3 record. It was a tough day for this young man but as we all know losses only make us better in this sport.
10U boys 77 lb weight class: This weight class was a 16 man double elimination bracket with 3 Ga wrestlers competing. Out of those 3 Ga wrestlers only 1 of them was able to finish in the top 4.
Sam Ingram finished his day in 2nd place overall going 2-1 on the day with a first round bye. Ingram had a close match with an Al boy in the quarters and then cruised to a tech fall in the semis only to come up just short of a gold medal in the finals. He lost 8-4 to Murphy from FL in the finals.
10U boys 105 lb weight class: This weight class was a 3 man round robin bracket with 1 Ga wrestler competing.
Wyatt Line finished his day in 3rd place overall with a 0-2 record for this weight class.
